Let me tell you a little about myself and my style...

My name is Alex, but I also respond to Al, AJ, wifey, and mama. I am a small town Wisconsin girl turned big city Minnesota babe who's obsessed with pretty nails, puppies, Christmas music, and queso! I am an experienced portrait photographer specializing in high-end editorial and everyday lifestyle photography. My style consists of glamorous and colorful imagery that captures and showcases your authentic selves.
It is so important to me that photography is not used as merely a "presentation" of your best self, but instead as a reflection of who you really are and what makes you you. That is why I have been putting people infront of my camera since 2015. Every person is uniquely and wonderfully designed and when we're in our session, I get to bring to light your rare features and expose your inner beauty!
I studied at CLC and WITC where I earned an Associates degree in Photographic Imaging Technology and Business Graphics Certificate. The thing I value most in owning my own business is getting to collaborate creatively with my all clients to achieve a truly one of a kind experience with pictures that reveal the absolute best versions of themselves.
When I'm not behind my camera taking pictures of your gorgeous faces, you can most likely find me shopping up a storm, crafting and cooking with the help of my many Pinterest boards, or out adventuring with my high school sweetheart and best friend of 10 years, our baby girl Raelynn and furbaby Chai.

Let me answer that question with another question...
What do you see when you look in the mirror? Is it your mom’s nose? Your thick curly hair? Maybe the hundreds of freckles that dance across your face? Do you see your childhood scars? The gap between your teeth? The wrinkles by your eyes when you smile? Your face is the map of your life; your face tells your story.
Your scars show us you conquered. Your wrinkles show us you've lived a good life. Your nose shows us your family history. Your eyes show us your soul. These are all elements that define you and make you unique; these are the beautiful qualities that only you posses.
So why when we take pictures of ourselves do we try to erase our scars and alter our faces and our body’s to appear different than they really are? Different then we see them every time we look in the mirror? Because we've let society define the "standards" of what makes a person beautiful, and that "standard" is very limiting.
Beauty should not be determined by a certain look or set of behaviors. Your body is the house that holds your soul; your body literally allows you to live on earth, and that alone is such a beautiful gift. As individuals, we should not be defined or degraded by any "standards" as we are just that, individual. We need to love ourselves and others no matter what shape, size, gender, race, ethnicity, age, sexualitiy, disorder, disability, religion, and beliefs.

The moment you realize every inch of you is beautiful and look at every “flaw” as a feature, you will being to radiate confidence and learn to love yourself. I know this is true because I had to find confidence in myself and learn to love my body as well. My squinty eyes, pale skin, thick thighs, and curly hair were all parts of my body that I was ashamed of for years, but now have come to love and celebrate! My eyes squint because I have a huge, genuine smile. My pale skin I inherited from my mother and grandmother whose beauty I admire. My thick thighs make it comfortable for children, dogs of any size, and even my husband to sit or lay in my lap. And my curly hair is as wild and untamed as my soul.
You can trust that I'll capture the real authentic you in your pictures because I see your beauty, even if you don't see it quite yet. With the help of my camera, I promise to accentuate your appearance and show off your unique personality in every image so you can show the world what really makes you beautiful, inside and out.
